A poem I wrote.

You said I was deserving of love.

You said no one deserves the pain I have been through.

You said you would look out for me.

You said you would help me.

You said I am enough as I am.

You said you love me unconditionally.

You said I can count on you.

You said.

You said.

You said.

And I believed.

But it wasn't true. It never was.

Just lies to make you feel better than those around you.

I don't know how to live with that.

My world is in chaos and you say I ask for too much.

But you said.

This is a little bit different, but I wanted to share because I thought it might resonate with some people who have been through the garbage disposal with their families. I hope you have a happy, loving family that is full of promises and follow through. But if not, this one is for you.
