This blog.

I started this blog about a year ago. It had some articles I had written and was proud of about how we sexualize fat bodies, about our garden in Southern California, about my relationship with Patrick, my partner. Funny thing which isn't so funny, it was all deleted. I hadn't published it yet, because it is expensive to publish a blog through squarespace ($150). And then our living situation got uprooted and we needed to find a safe place to go, which took 6 months and I didn't have internet or time to look back at the blog I had been working on. So squarespace deleted it. And I unfortunately hadn't saved any of the words I had written. Which REALLY sucked.

So here I am, lessons learned, saving my words in documents before I publish them on my blog. I still have the pictures so you all will get to see the photos I have been taking over the last year or so. But yeah, I am starting from scratch now.

My greatest hope in writing a blog is to build community. Life is so HARD and it has recently been knocking me down constantly. I am starting to believe that the best way to insulate yourself from this messed up world is to build a community around you.

So I hope that by sharing my story someone else can connect to these words on a page. And that it might make them feel less alone. And we can be friends, so I can also feel less alone. That's all. Helping each other, being there for each other, loving each other. That's what I hope for this blog, to be connected to really fucking cool people.
