I have exciting news!

I just launched my online queer art store! I am so excited for you all to see it. I am selling hand painted watercolor cards... all handmade by me - a fat, queer artist!

To me, handmade cards are all about building community. I talk a lot about community here and it really is what I care about... letting people know they are loved, looking out for one another. Our society teaches us to be so fucking individualistic, but we all deserve so much more.

When I started designing these cards, my intention was never to have them all include profanity. I think with everything I have been through in the last year it just came out that way. I wanted to make sure that when I reopened my Etsy shop it felt like I was making art that is true to me, not just something that I thought other people would want from me.

Selling art brings up complicated emotions for me. On the one hand, I don't want production to become a part of my personal art practice. On the other hand, making art is my happy place and I would so much rather be self-employed than work under the oppression of the toxic boss/ employee relationship. I think I have found a happy medium ground with these cards I created for you- where my art practice is mostly separate from selling my art, but I still get to share something that I love creating, something I have been creating for family and friends for years.

I hope you enjoy browsing these little pieces of art I created to share with you. This dream originally started in 2020 and I am so excited that my ideas have finally come to life in my Etsy shop.

Ps- Now that I have finished this big project that I have been working on, I am excited to share more about my life and travels here on my blog. More blog posts coming soon!
